This 100% Syrah is made by legendary winemaker, Louis Barruol, with grapes from his Gigondas and Vinsobres estates in the Southern Rhône. It's a fabulous introduction to this iconic winery, and demonstrate the quality, complexity and intricacy of wines made at Louis' deft hands. The nose opens with a lovely floral violet, followed by dark berries, tobacco and charcoal notes. The palate echoes the nose and there is a pleasing grip on the finish. This is a well structured Côtes du Rhône, with excellent purity of fruit and vibrancy.
