A big Croatian red blend!
A Dalmatian red from the karst above Skradin, built on the indigenous trio of Babić, Plavina and Lasina — Plavina and Lasina co-fermented for lift, Babić handled separately and rested in neutral oak for backbone. Black cherry and ripe plum with wild Mediterranean herbs, black pepper and a briny, sun-baked edge that comes straight off the limestone. Medium-bodied and spicy rather than heavy, with enough freshness to take a light chill on a warm evening.
